Digital Marketing also known as online marketing/internet marketing, is a new form of marketing. Digital Marketing is all about the promotion of brands to reach their target audience using the internet or other digital platforms. Platforms could be Social media, Email, Web-based advertising, Text and multimedia messages, infographics, or videos.
Previously, to promote a brand “traditional marketing” was used. Such as billboards, magazine ads, television ads, etc. But as the digital revolution is in progress. Brands are also switching to digital platforms for promotions and advertisements.
Difference Between B2B and B2C Digital Marketing
You must have heard these terms somewhere. Have you tried researching them? If not, let me explain to you what are they.
B2B Marketing
It means business to business. This model is used when a business takes the services from a business. Confused? Let me make it a bit clear with an example:
Let’s assume there is a digital marketing agency “XYZ” somewhere in your location. Now say, you are running a wholesale clothing store. So you both are doing business. Right? A marketing agency is providing services to their clients and you are providing products to retail businesses. Note a point, you are providing products to retail businesses. Not directly to customers. Clear till now?
Now you want to promote your brand on digital platforms for brand awareness. Assuming, you want professionals to do it for you and you will hire an agency “XYZ” to do that. As soon as you hire them, you are a client for them. But, your target customers are also businessmen. So this marketing will be called B2B.
Is it clear? Hope it is. If not, you always have a comment section open for you. Now let’s move to B2C.
B2C Marketing
It means business to consumers. This model is used when the business serves its services directly to customers. Let us take a previous example only with a few changes.
Now say, you are running a retail clothing store. It means now you are providing products directly to customers. Looking into this scenario, you will be a client of a marketing agency that provides products directly to consumers. So this marketing will be called B2C.
Hope now you must be really clear.

1. A wider reach
When you advertise online, people can see it no matter where they are. This is a huge advantage of digital marketing.
2. Cost Effective
One of the best benefits of using Digital Marketing is, that it’s cost-effective in comparison to traditional marketing.
3. Easy to track performance
After placing an ad in the newspaper, have you ever wondered who all saw it? What is the location of that person? There are many other questions that can’t be answered in traditional marketing. But, digital marketing has all the answers for it.
4. Easy to personalize
Let’s suppose you are using a billboard to advertise your brand. Just after placing it, you found an error in the billboard. So, will it be easy for you to get that resolved? It could be easy for you, but it will cost you.
Whereas, Digital Marketing gives you the freedom of editing active ads. Isn’t it amazing?
These are some of the advantages of using Digital Marketing. If you are in a dilemma regarding how to learn it. We will guide you through and trust me this will eventually grow your business.
